The first DVD of four contains three episodes, which delves into the explanation of the Hellsing organization. The Hellsing organization deals with the protection of the Queen of England and her citizens from the machinations of the undead. Its sole mission, to search and destroy, eliminating the world of these blood sucking demons. Their main weapon, a blood sucking demon named Alucard. What a lovely blend of good intentions and contradictions. Like the bible.(hehe)

Epispode #1's Main Characters
Alucard, the main character for the series. A five hundred+ year old vampire that, in my opinion, emulates Dracula. His servitude belongs to Sir Integra Wingates Hellsing, the leader of the Hellsing organization. A powerful vampire, whom uses two diffferent guns to battle with. The first is .454 Cassul, which shoots silver bullets into it's victims. The second, which he does not have yet, a 13mm Jackal. He is the main weapon of the Hellsing organization and one bad ass vampire.
Seras Victoria, a sexy package wrapped in Special Forces D11 garb. She finds herself in some deep trouble from the get go. Trying to save some fallen comrades from sure death. She notices that things are not right in the village of Cheddar. Soon, her bright blue eyes will turn red from the fangs of Arucard, and she will become part of the Hellsing organization.
Sir Integra Wingates Hellsing, the leader of the Hellsing organization. A hot headed woman, whom quickly notices the faults of others. She is trying to clean up the mess left by another vampire in a near by town, Cheddar Village. She plays a big role in the series and has a strange relationship with Arucard. Sometimes you can not tell if they are enemies or simply comrades, and in later episodes they may even become lovers. Awww!
An evil vampire dressed in preists' clothing. He is responsible for turning the citizens of Cheddar Village into ghouls. He will meet his end when Interga sends Alucard to stop him. By chance, Seras's unit was in town trying to stop the same vampire, know to them as a evil priest.
Theme
This episode introduces some of the the main characters seen through out the series. Gives a taste of what the Hellsing organization is all about, and shows a fraction of Alucard's power. This is also the last time you will see Police Girl's bright blues eyes, for soon she will be walking among the undead.

Episode #2's Main Characters
Peter Fargason, the commander in charge of the Hellsing mobile unit. Once a British Amary Captain in the Gulf War, three times decorated, he was honorably discharge. Now, he works for the Hellsing organization and will be in charge of Police Girl's training.
Seras Victoria, after a failed mission, is trying to adjust to her new home and job. And will also be dealing with the small fact that she isn't human anymore. This problem of loosing her human qualities reoccurs through out the series.
A young vampire couple just trying to make their way to the top, by feeding on entire families. All Jessica and Leif needed, were nine more families to stay on forever, but the Hellsing organization will have something to say about that.
Alucard in one of his many forms. Here we notice the Alucard has different levels of power that he is allowed to used. These levels of power may be due to his contract with the Hellsing family. Here he is releasing control art constrictions to level five.
Theme
This episode continues with the introduction of some new members of the Hell organization, and tries to show the struggle that Police Girl has in front of her, the complete transition of a human to a vampire. But this episode still doesn't mention one of the main themes of the story, artificial vampires.

Epispode #3's Main Characters
Seras is still fighting the fact that she's a vampire, and can't bring herself to drink the blood of a human. What a wuss, and I mean this literally!! She is becoming week and tired from the lack of blood. Her master continually reminds her that she need to drink to become strong.
Alucard, as human looking as he can get, just blunted one of many insults from Integra. She was comparing him to the artificial vampires that they both faced today, which seem to hurt Alucard feelings a bit. Each episode the relationship between Aluacard and Intrega seems to boil, but Alucard takes in stride.
Enrico searches for his lover after waking up inside a police morgue. A fake vampire that was created artificially by a mciro-chip, implanted underneath the skin. He is the next target of the Hellsing organization, and is also targeted by the Vatican..
Alexander Anderson, a Catholic Priest in the same business of killing vampires, but his organization belongs to the Section 13 Bureau of the Vatican. This doesn't go over to well in England, but Paladin Anderson makes a hell of an antagonists for Alucard.
Theme
This episode has a religious subtext to the main theme. England and Catholics have never gotten along and it shows in this episode. Sir Integra is inflamed when she hears that a Catholic organization is in England doing their dirty work. This combination of religious conflicts and the strange powers of Alucard and Paladin Anderson make for an interesting episode. It is also the first time the viewer is introduced to artifical vampires, created by some mirco-chip implanted underneath the skin.
